This policy explains what personal data PHPHoster collects, why, and what rights you have over it.
1. Data we collect
When you register we collect:
- Your name and email address — to create your account and contact you about it
- Your phone or WhatsApp number — optional, used only to reach you faster during review
- Your chosen plan, website type and current host — to prepare the right account and offer migration
- Referral and campaign information — the page or advert that brought you here, so we understand which channels work
Your password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication and is never visible to us.
2. How we use it
We use your data to review and set up your hosting account, contact you about it, provide support, and take payment once you go live. We also use aggregate signup data to understand demand for our plans.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.
3. Where it is stored
Account data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the asia-south1 (Mumbai) region. Google acts as our data processor. Their security practices are described in the Google Cloud privacy documentation.
4. How long we keep it
We keep signup records for as long as you have an account with us, and for up to 24 months after an account is closed or a registration is declined, so we can answer questions and meet our record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a small amount of browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember when your review started. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email support@phphoster.site and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
Access to customer records is restricted, connections to this site are encrypted with TLS, and database rules prevent any customer from reading another customer's record.
